Children's Ministry

Just like they were to Jesus, kids are important to us at FBC Elberton. Our kid's ministry is a welcoming group of adults and children who gather each week to learn more about Jesus and prepare kids to be "souled out" to Him. We believe nothing is more important and nothing will better prepare them for their future than to have a relationship with the One who loves them the most - Jesus Christ.

Student Ministry

FBE Students is the Student ministry at First Baptist Church of Elberton.

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us for regular events each week including:

  • small group time on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in room 217 upstairs

  • a large group time on Wednesday nights from 5:45-7 in room 218 upstairs with games, snacks, music, and Bible study.

Look out for announcements about upcoming events, trips, and hangouts during the year!

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory.

Celebrate Recovery is now in more than 20,000 churches worldwide and we are honored to serve the community of Elberton through this life-changing ministry.

CR meets every Thursday night in the ROC, with a meal at 6pm and a large group gathering at 7pm.  Child care is available. Contact Tim Adams at revtima@gmail.com for more information.

Prayer

Our Prayer Team members meet weekly in our Prayer Room. They pray for our pastors, staff and churchwide needs and receive a weekly update of current prayer requests.

In the book of 1 Thessalonians, the Bible tells us to "pray without ceasing" and to "give thanks in all circumstances." We know that prayer is critical in order to have a healthy body of believers. Please consider being part of this ministry.

If you have a request you would like to submit, you may complete a prayer card in the Worship Center or call the prayer line at 706-283-7729.

If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Donna Smart at 706-283-3921 for more details.

Serve

Each week it takes 100+ Team Members at FBC Elberton to make what we do here possible. There are many ways you can serve.

As a believer God has gifted you. We can't wait to see how He's going to use that gift at FBC Elberton.

"Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another."

Salvation

Anyone who comes to Jesus for salvation must have at least a basic understanding of who he is and how he meets our needs for salvation. Click here to learn more about what the Bible teaches concerning salvation.

Baptism

Now that you have trusted Christ as your Savior you will want to continue your journey in obedience. We encourage you to be baptized soon after accepting Christ. Christ set the example when He was baptized by John. Baptism is an act of obedience to Christ, and illustrates to others that you have chosen to follow in His steps.
